CBS Early Morning show had a crew come out this summer and film a piece on our family and our journey with genomic sequencing.  They did a fabulous job with the piece and my brother has just added it to our site in the video section.  Please check it out!

We are still on the move to help push open doors for genomic sequencing to be used as a diagnostic tool.  There have been many advances and many more labs are receiving grants to start working on research projects where the subjects will be sequenced in hopes of finding mutations that will help lead to diagnosis.  I hear from people around the world on a weekly basis who have been misdiagnosed or undiagnosed.  Personalized medicine is our future, we will all have our genomes sequenced one day and it will lead to more and more discovery.  My hope and prayer is that the future comes very soon so we will stop losing people to undiagnosed illnesses.
