I received Alexis's results today from her endoscopy. Her esophagus looks good and they took 14 biopsies. The results came back showing nothing of significance, there were eosinophil cells in her stomach, but not enough to be concerned about. So, why the 4 year cough? Why the night time breathing issues that have her taking breathing treatments multiple times a day just to enable her to breath? She was diagnosed with asthma, then we were told she didn't have asthma. She was diagnosed with vocal chord spasms and reflux, and yet she didn't respond to the therapies given to her for that diagnosis. What are we dealing with and how can we treat it, that's the question that no one seems to be able to answer. And so we go back on the elimination diet, hoping and praying that something she is eating is triggering her cough. Hoping and praying that we can identify something to help her breath throughout the night, on her own.
