I received a phone message from Dr. Woessner’s office tonight.  They left a lengthy message letting me know that they found a pediatric neurologist at Rady’s Children’s hospital who specializes in movement disorders and she believes Alexis’s symptoms are related to her Dystonia.  I then received a message from the neurologist’s office telling me they want to set up an urgent appointment for Alexis.  Thank You, Lord!  I know You are working in every detail.

Dr. Dern, Alexis’s pediatrician, calls me to let me know the x-rays came back.  Her chest x-ray looks good and her sinuses have fluid in them.  Not as much as in April, but still a good amount.  We’ll use her nasal spray, hoping it may relieve some of her symptoms.

I am in the middle of preparing for Alexis and Noah’s birthday party tomorrow.  I tell her pediatrician that it seems crazy that Alexis is going through such severe medical issues and I’m out getting food and party supplies for 30 kids to come over tomorrow.  Dr. Dern confirms that this is exactly what Alexis needs right now and I’m doing the right thing.

Alexis has invited over 20 girls to her party and is so excited!  It’s been the bright spot in her week and she can hardly wait.  I think she’s been planning this party for 9 months.  Her heart wants close friendships, she is such an encourager, such an incredible friend.  Please, Lord, I pray, let this go well, let her be able to enjoy herself and not experience any health issues.  Please, I pray, let her have the time of her life!
