Alexis made it through another night and we are so grateful. We have so many people praying for her, for health, for wisdom and discernment for us, for answers and for healing. We are all feeling exhausted as Alexis is coughing all night and unable to take deep breaths. She is inhaling racepinephrine, a form of epinephrine, 1 to 3 times a day, for the past 6 months. The more I read about it, the more concerned I am about what effects this very inhalant we’ve been using to keep her alive is having on her health , long term. It is not a drug that should be used the way she has needed to use it. She is not responding to any other treatments and we are in a vicious cycle once again.
We are excited as the neurologist called and she has an appointment on Tuesday morning at 8 am. The only bummer is that’s the first day of school. Alexis takes the positive side and talks about how she is going to get her health back this year and she will start out the year with a new path. She is latching on to any hope she can find and she is going with it! She is such an inspiration as she is always upbeat, joyful and full of life, even when her life is being turned upside down. She always looks at the upside and the glass is always completely full, not just half full. I’m praying this appointment on Tuesday will bring us answers, will bring us healing.
